Once upon a time, I was a fanatical rock climber. (No surprise, I am fanatical about something.)
In the spring of 1995, my brother and I took an extended road trip, climbing our way through the Southwest. We climbed at Hueco Tanks in El Paso, Texas, then continued on to the Phoenix Bouldering Competition. We went on into California, with stops in Joshua Tree and the Owens River Gorge where I snapped this photo of our campsite as the sun went down.
