One of the zillions of things Elli and I adored about Paris is how exquisite the door handles are.
You must lift the door handle on certain Metro lines if you want on or off. Usually you can hit the ground running with the train still moving as the door opens.
It just seems so welcoming. “Please come for a visit,” these doorways seem to beg.
And this is someone’s garage door.
The handles on the windows are just as ornate, like this one in the Richelieu wing.
And at the Chateau de Versailles, these window handles have LP designed into them – Louis-Philippe?
