We left a Rocky Mountain National Park early this morning, stuffing a wet tent into the trunk at 6 a.m. between rain squalls. I chose the non-freeway route to Park City, Utah, which took us past Dinosaur National Monument, a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time.
Standing in the Separation Room on Ellis Island, it isn’t hard to imagine landing here, ready to start a new life in America. You can almost hear the ghosts of immigrants past.
